Why do people live?

I once asked: "Why do people love to their fullest, when they know that they'll break up in the end?"

He then replied, "Why do people live to their fullest, when they know that they'll die in the end?"

"What a stupid and irrelevant answer."

I stormed out.

And smiled to myself...
